Today, as we celebrate Independence Day, let us remember that freedom is never free – there is always a high price involved. National freedom cost the lives of men and women who bravely sacrificed themselves for our country. Eternal freedom cost the Son of God His life as well. So this 4th, let’s be thankful for each freedom we enjoy, and for those who paid the price to secure those freedoms for us.
“Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.” (1 Peter 2:16)
